Black and Decker Electric MM525, 3.5 HP

I own a Black and Decker Electric, 3.5HP Model Number MM525. I had had this lawn mover for a few years now and it does the job. When I first purchased it I was a bit skeptical since it was electric. I knew Black and Decker was a reputable name so I relented. It is pretty light and easy to use and but it is sturdy.
I have noticed that the wear and tear is beginning to show on the handles as the paint is all worn off. I would have preferred a rubber handle of some sort. Now I did have to get used to the electrical cord and all so that took some time. I have a 100 foot extension cord that I have especially for that use. It does require some maneuvering to get around spots and keep the cord away from the blades. I also have to ensure I am not too far from the outlet as my cord will drop out without me knowing and then I have to back track.
Honestly I would have to say that I do see a difference with my mover as compared to the non electric movers. It usually takes a lot more effort to get it going and the electrical supply cuts off every now and then. Mowing a yard of any good size can be tedious with that in mind.
So all in all I would say that if I had a choice I would not purchase another type of mower like this. First if you have no outside outlet it is a job plugging your long extension cord into the house and changing spots as you move around the yard. Second, you must make sure you have an extra electrical cord on hand just in case you accidentally run over the one you are using.
Lastly I would make sure I have a back up mover just in case you blow a fuse and you want to get your lawn mowed.
