Cub Cadet CC 550SP

by Betty
(Oak Hill,WV)

This is a self propelled walk behind mower. It also has a bag to make mulch, or you can do what I done and just dump it out. I used it all this summer. The one problem I had with it was that the bag has to be emptied every 10 or so swipes you make.

We did make mulch out of the leaves this year. It made a nice covering for the flower beds. The wheels set low enough to only mow every 2 weeks though. I had to carry this mower from home to work, and traveling with this mower was very simple also. It has a fold up handle that made loading and unloading a breeze.

It is very durable also. I'm a lawn mower newbie one time I mowed the grass while it was wet, and it did pretty good. Only thing was I was constantly cleaning out the opening swore I wasn't mowing grass again. Then I couldn't get it started I was pulling and pulling so I figured it might need oil so I put ½ jug in it. Which I was told it was a wonder it didn't lock up on me, but I never had a problem with it just a little bit of smoke when it first started. All in all I really enjoy owning this mower.

As speaking for the starting it is really simply, it has a smooth pull back and if you have the choke set it a piece of cake. That was the problem when I put the oil in it was that I didn't have choke pulled back like you are supposed to.
