Knee saver!

by Allyson
(New York)

Rather than purchase an expensive pad to cushion your knees while gardening, I find that folding a large towel is a great solution to protect your knees.

It utilizes something you already own, protects your knees from pebbles, bugs, and sharp rocks, and is soft enough to prevent fatigue in your knees.

Pillows too...
by: Glowfiesta

A towel works well, as does an old pillow (on dry days preferably) Much more comfort than the plastic based pads you buy.

Thanks for the tip.

I'm not sure why I never thought of this before. I tried it last night and I really liked it. I could fold the towel thicker and thinner as needed.

This is a great idea. I just $25 on a mat.
