MURRAY 22" 5.0 HP QUANTUM

I personally believe I made a mistake buying this lawn mower, it was a Wal-Mart special and it was one of the cheapest. I live in South Florida and boy, in the summer you could watch the grass grow, I believed that the big wheels in the back would make my chore easier, but I was wrong. Its heavy and hard to push around because I think the wheel bearing wear out because the back wheels are now angled a bit.
This is actually my second Murray, the first one shot oil and had to bring it back, I personally would recommend a self powered one or hiring a lawn service. I'm not in the best shape and it tires me out to push this around, I thought is was going to be like a sarlo (big back wheeled lawnmowers in Florida)
This lawn mower has a 5 H.P Briggs & Stanton, its starts almost everytime on the first pull, its a 2 in 1 combo with Mulch/discharge. I use the mulch. It was good at the beginning but now it seems harder to push, and I'm looking for a self-propelled one.
Now to the big problem ,that I noticed on google too, is the handle that you hold to keep the lawn-mower running broke and you have push the wire up, also it has to be cleaned on the bottom a whole lot.
Its quite a production to remove the mulch plug, but the bag disintegrated very fast. I keep the oil changed and the blade sharpened and it still hard to push even when the grass is short, when the grass is tall, forget about it.
Well in ending, I would say don't buy the cheapest mower, I live on a fixed income and wish I had saved up for a more advanced name brand model and one that is self-powered, im a old man.
Thank you for reading my review and sorry I'm not really a good writer. Happy mowing and good day.
