plant aloe vera

by viva

Plant some aloe vera. They are very easy to plant: stick them in the ground, snip off any brown tips, and let them go. They need very little water. Also, you can clip off a bit of a leaf whenever you need it to apply to skin as first aid.

aloe works great
by: green4life

Great idea, aloe is a perfect natural way to treat your skin. When I was in Costa Rica, nursing a bad burn to my arm, the woman we were staying with would cut fresh stalks of aloe from her garden and apply it to the healing burn. It really seemed to decrease irritation and make it heal faster.

Hello Aloe
by: Anonymous

I grow aloe both indoors and outside. It is easy to grow and requires minimal care. The juice is very healing, especially on sunburns or rashes. I break off a leaf and apply the sticky juice directly to my skin - the healing is immediate. It is also a beautiful plant to look at.

aloe works!
by: Anonymous

I agree that aloe vera is easy to plant and maintain. We actually just have one pot but it has been there for over 5 years. It is very helpful for burns (especially those you get when cooking!). It has a cooling factor that soothes the pain when you get burnt.

I love aloe vera. I have always gone out and bought one, but now I think I will go plant my own! Thanks for the idea!
