Honda HRR216PDA Push Lawn Mower

I was on the lookout for a push lawn mower, a couple of year’s back, for my lavish overgrown garden that needed trimming urgently. I was confused by all the different models and offers from manufacturers publicizing their product as the very paramount model. The Sales Manager suggested Honda Push Lawn Mower Model HRR216PDA, relatively a new entrant in that segment.

I bought it and have never regretted my decision. My push lawn mower, Honda HRR216PDA was very inexpensive, considering its robust performance, silent operation, economical fuel consumption and light-weight disposition. The environmentally friendly Honda HRR216PDA operates with a 5.5HP powerful and soundless engine, which operates with gasoline fuel.

Honda HRR216PDA lawn mower contains double blades of extra strength, designed with special care, to prune grass turfs effectively into tiny clippings that putrefy almost instantly serving as organic manure. It is also possible to collect the tiny grass pieces that have been cut in the grass collection bag, located on the backside of the lawn mower and is easily detachable. The optional leaf shredder comes in handy to rip dropping leaves from trees.

The Honda HRR216PDA lawn mower handle is foldable, therefore making it very compact for storage. The electronic ignition and recoil starter, in case of dead battery, serve to start the engine. The lawn mower’s safety feature of automatic shutdown of the engine, when it senses absence of the operator during lawn trimming sessions, is very practical.

The lawn mower is also eye-catching in design. I enjoy controlling the Honda HRR216PDA Push Lawn mower due to its compactness. The cutting size of the steel blade is of 21 inches width with the height of lawn clipping range being 0.75 to 3.25 inches. The gasoline tank can approximately hold a liter of gasoline. Honda service technicians do a wonderful job of correcting minor problems in the lawn mower immediately, in case of breakdown.

The mower starts easily and runs, idles, and cuts well.

However, it has some drawbacks. The design for the plastic wheels makes it very hard to push. Do the following one wheel at a time. Remove the wheel and take out the concave washer at the outside of the wheel. Install a lock washer on the threaded end of the wheel spindle. This makes it much easier to push and it should have been designed this way with room for flat washers on both sides of the wheel.

The handle is not adjustable so it is not the right height for many people, nor is there a pad on the handle, like my Snapper. The small tubing of the handle is uncomfortable.

The air filter is easy to remove and clean, but there should be a foam prefilter for the folded paper filter. Cleaning frequently made my Snapper run for over 250 hours even though it was cheaper.

I am not impressed by Honda.
