I have a 2005 GT 5000 garden tractor. I bought it new in 2006. It has a 24hp Briggs motor. The summer of 2009 it started to smoke and use oil real bad. I am the type of person who has always done my maintance by the manual. I am not sure what happened but was not real happy about the mower. I am still working on the oil problem.
